A solar cluster in a nutshell
An RCP (regroupement pour la consommation propre), also known as a solar group, enables you to unite a group of consumers around a photovoltaic installation. In other words, you can sell the solar energy produced on your roof to the occupants of your building and to your neighbors, by bringing together all consumers in a community known as an RCP.
Ecological and financial benefits
A solar cluster offers many advantages to producers and members alike.
In ecological terms, it promotes the use of renewable energy produced directly on site.
In economic terms, this solution enables the producer to accelerate the profitability of his photovoltaic installation by reselling part of the energy to other consumers or by feeding it back into the grid. For a member, the price of solar power is lower than that charged by the distribution network operator, thus reducing the electricity bill.
Pricing and billing - what's involved?
Billing terms are governed by the Energy Ordinance (OEne). Moreover, in accordance with Article 16 of the OEne, it is important to know that each RCP member can be billed a flat-rate fee corresponding to a maximum of 80% of the amount that would be due in the event of non-participation in the solar cluster.
As far as invoicing is concerned, the representative and his members receive an invoice from SEIC every two months. We explain the differences in invoicing on the page dedicated to RCP.
