2025 at a Glance
As part of the amendments to the Energy Act (LEne) and the Electricity Supply Act (LApEl), SEIC has focused in particular on the following measures, which took effect on January1, 2026:
- Adjustment of the pricing structure to reflect the cost of the measure
- Selection of the remuneration model for electricity fed into the grid from photovoltaic systems based on the SFOE’s quarterly reference prices, without the purchase of guarantees of origin
- Development of new electricity products, the standard version of which already meets the 2028 requirement that two-thirds of the electricity come from Swiss renewable sources
- First step taken toward strengthening cybersecurity for critical infrastructure in the power grid through the implementation of the SFOE’s ICT standards
- Implementation of a data processing procedure that complies with data protection law
- OnJanuary 1 , Olivier Thorens took office as director of SEIC, and Jean-Marc Derungs took office as head of the Building Systems & Solutions department. On August1, César Gallego joined the company as head of the Sales department.

- Completion of the migration of Internet customers to XGS-PON technology, which supports speeds of up to 10 Gbits/s.
- Start of the first full-scale interior electrical installation project in a new construction project
- Completion of the Expansion of the Begnins District Heating Network
