Interview with Olivier Thorens
Our new director from 2025!
Olivier Thorens will take over as head of SEIC in January 2025, succeeding Dieter Gisiger, who led the company for almost 20 years and whom we thank for his unstinting commitment. Head of the "Installations & Building Solutions" business unit and member of the Executive Committee since 2022, Olivier, a keen skier and cyclist, shares with us his ambitions for SEIC's future.
Olivier, what will be SEIC's greatest challenge in the coming years?
We've experienced incredible growth over the past 15 years, diversifying our services and expanding our workforce. Today, it's important to strengthen SEIC's governance so as to consolidate best practices and working methods, with a view to ensuring our continued development.
How will the new energy laws be tackled?
Last June's referendum amended the Energy Act and the Electricity Supply Act. SEIC will of course apply the requirements of the new legal framework. We are committed to keeping our customers informed of changes and new services as they are introduced.
What motivates you in this new role?
I'm keen to support SEIC's growth and prepare the company for tomorrow's challenges, while remaining close to our customers and our teams. This human link is essential, and it's what makes SEIC so unique.
What impact will this have on our customers?
Quality and proximity to our customers remain our top priorities. Last year's ISO 9001 certification is proof of our commitment to constantly improving our services.
Finally, a word about your passion for cycling?
From Founex, I love going to Vich to enjoy the breathtaking view of the lake and the Alps. Perhaps I'll have the pleasure of meeting some of you on the trails!
